Motion Pro Titan? Tubes
Throttle tubes are one of those products that don’t get much attention until something goes wrong. If you break a throttle tube in a crash, it could mean you don’t finish the race, or worse yet, ruins your weekend by not being able to ride the next day. Aluminum tubes are meant to address the breakage problem, but come with problems of their own and are expensive. Aluminum tubes are buzzy, have a grindy feel, and can gall aluminum handlebars, making them feel even worse. In a hard crash aluminum tubes can get dented and cause the throttle to stick, which is a far more dangerous problem than not having it work at all.
There are a couple of wild haired guys with lab coats at Motion Pro that we usually keep under lock and key and give them heavy weights, big hydraulics or levers and pulleys to play with. They invent machines like the Destructo-Matic and the Atom Smasher in an effort to find ways to make better products for motorcyclists. The Titan Tubes are the result of their recent caffeine-fueled efforts. We smashed and hammered just about every kind of throttle tube available, and then started working with new materials. Every possible material went into the Atom-Smasher and was systematically pounded into nothingness until we found a champion.
Our new Titan throttle tubes feature a proprietary low-friction composite plastic material that delivers a light, smooth operating performance with low transmitted vibration. It is strong enough that it will take the heaviest impacts and come back for more, but resilient enough not to crack or deform on the handlebar. The best properties of both aluminum and traditional nylon tubes are combined in this product, and at a fraction of the cost of a normal aluminum tube.
We are so certain about the indestructibility of the Titan Tube that we are warranting it against failure from a crash for a period of five years! If you break a Titan tube due to crash or tip over we will replace it. In five years of hard riding, the rest of your bike will be a wreck, but your Titan tube will be ready for more! One caveat, like most aluminum tubes, the Titan tube is intended for motocross type riding cannot be used with bar end hand guards or the 5 year warranty would be voided.
Motion Pro has Titan Tubes to fit most four stroke off road motorcycles and for the Motion Pro Revolver throttle system. Titan Tubes are in stock now and available from your favorite local dealer, or visit www.motionpro.com for more information.
